Occupational Therapy
The primary tool of our occupational therapists is the active involvement of the patient in therapeutic tasks and activities which, while improving function, help the patient learn to apply the newly restored or impaired function in meeting the demands of daily living.
Services typically include:
- ADL Skills training in dressing, bathing, eating, personal hygiene, cooking and household activities
- Upper extremity orthotic fabrication and training
- Muscle strengthening
- Transfer techniques
- Educate and provide in-service training to families, caregivers and other professionals
